If you were a young boy during the 1950s, chances were you dreamed of finding a metal Tonka Truck with a bright red bow resting under the tree on Christmas morning. Due to the desire of those young and old to get their hands on a Tonka Truck of their own, by the end of the 1950s, the Tonka Toys Incorporated company was producing 400,00 toy metal bulldozers, firetrucks, semitrailer, and pickup trucks every week.
Bronze is a metal alloy consisting primarily of copper, usually with tin as the main additive. Buck Rogers was created by Philip Nowlan for Amazing Stories in 1928. As with most of the characters created in the Depression Era, a time in which World War II was looming on the horizon, Buck Rogers was a fighter for freedom and justice. Set in the 25th Century allowed the use of imagination in the plots of the stories. Buck was involved in space travel, futuristic cities, ray guns and after World War II atomic weapons.
